Raisins are dried grapes, specifically dried white-fleshed grapes. These grapes are initially green in skin color.
As the grape dries it becomes a dense, dark-colored sweet dried fruit.
 
Raisins can be eaten as a snack or added to your muesli cereals. They are a perfect ingredient for home made sauces, pies and other home baked goodies.
